Plinth figures - Royal Photographic Society Associate Award Panel (2009)

in 2009 I was awarded an Associate Qualification with the RPS (Royal Photographic Society) with a panel of 15 images featuring studio figures. This work was a reflection of my earliest art nude work taking inspiration and discipline from my time spent life drawing where you study shape, form, balance and tone.
At the time I received mixed reviews, the RPS loved the work but other professional photography peers were less than enthusiastic and my style of low contrast simple lighting was criticised but for me this was important to empathise with a simple figure drawing.
5 years later it is time to revisit this work and to explore working in my current styles.
